The best way to explore a city is surely on foot and Florence is no exception. This long, unusual walk is not on most people’s “to do” list, but it’s absolutely stunning and includes quaint narrow streets, hidden gems, breathtaking views and some of the city's most famous landmarks. The walk can take from 2 ½ to 3 hours and 15 minutes depending on how much you stop and rest. However, it is well worth the 3,3 miles (5,3 km) just to get off the beaten path, away from the crowds of tourists and to enjoy the city from a different perspective.
